Seems to be a Jack Herrick thing. If I search for any text like “wikihow”, and it says “Comment by Jack Herrick”. If I click his name it takes me to a page with “Catspjs01”. Link in point: http://forums.wikihow.com/profile/32/JackHerrick

Somehow I’ve managed to unintentionally impersonate Jack! Hopefully this is an easy fix.

Wow - that’s not good. Probably the same bug that made me click on a link to a talk page and it went to an article:confused:

@Lillyshak Not necessarily…some users play with redirects. That is really creepy though.

If a user did that, though, you would never be able to get to their user page.

bump =p

Wait, I’m Jack again? This is hilarious. I promise I’m not trying:stuck_out_tongue:

well actually, @Krystle and harh017 are now Jack.

@SudoKing Where am I Jack? =P Boy, this is an odd personal identity crisis.

hehe @harh017 search for ‘wikihow’ in the search bar, click on one of the ‘Comment by Jack Herrick’ links:slight_smile:one of them is bound to be you!

Weird! Filed as bug 526. Low priority though since it doesn’t seem to break anything and is probably not a commonly used feature. So it might take a while to get fixed.

LOL…does @JackHerrick even know about this??? XD

Bump, this is still happening…

Bump again! Now it is WikiRicardo impersonating AndrewG1999.

I’ll bump this also - last night I kept trying to get to Metsguy234’s profile and one time I got Rangers31’s, another time I got Krystle’s. The URL in my browser was showing Metsguys’ username, but the other user’s account number if I remember correctly.

Don’t tell @AndrewG1999 !

And, as usual, I’m impersonating Rick Astley. Jokes aside, how does this manage to happen? Is there a flaw in the way the database works?

HOW DARE YOU IMPERSONATE ME! Anyway, I haven’t seen this around. When I click on Ricardo up above it links to his forums profile.

It’s when we click on yourprofile, not mine.

Not from what I see… I see @Catspjs01 when I click on @JackHerrick , but I don’t see the problem with wikiRicardo and AndrewG1999…
