Since we recently updated the forums, these articles are going to need some improvements, going from new screenshots to new descriptions of how to do everything on the forums. The reason being is that I want to make sure that we are actually helping people.

I think the article are edited. Only the images needs to be replaced.

Yeah. The images are a big thing. I removed the screenshots of the old design of the forums from each article that had them.

In this article http://www.wikihow.com/Post-a-Screenshot-in-the-Forums
The first image is about uploading screengrabs in forums. Do we need a software anymore for that?

http://www.wikihow.com/Post-Images-on-the-wikiHow-Forums And this ones not mentioned in your list because its edited right

@Vishwavijay http://www.wikihow.com/Post-Images-on-the-wikiHow-Forums has not been updated, as it still contains the old method of using HTML code. It needs to be updated.

About http://www.wikihow.com/Post-a-Screenshot-in-the-Forums - the change in forums doesn’t change the process needed to take a screenshot, or upload it to an image hosting site. These parts do not need to be changed.

@ Isorhythmic Hi, good to hear from you again:slight_smile:
And about this:
wikihow.com/Post-a-Screenshot-in-the-Forums True, I just noticed it says about forums (in general).
And wikihow.com/Post-Images-on-the-wikiHow-Forums I will edit it right away:slight_smile:

Is there a way to avoid this underline? I clicked on ‘remove link’ and also clicked on ‘ctrl+u’

Also, when we copy paste the url of an image, it doesnt show the image on the forum. Because the image source has http:// mentionedin it already. That means, it could be removed from our end? When we click on add source of the image that is.

@Vishwavijay I quoted your post and found that the forums appeared to have inserted the following span tag:``Back on topic now. I just now rewrote http://www.wikihow.com/Post-Images-on-the-wikiHow-Forums so that it would reflect on the current forums.

ohhh,
@ Isorhythmic my edits just got deleted from this article…
All I did was replace the old steps with the new ones and I clicked on publish.
After publishing, it asked me that there is a draft.
I clicked on that too.
Now I dont see my edit nor my name in the history section.

What article was it?

Your edits are showing in it. How does my edit disappear if I approve your drafts?

There might have been an edit conflict. It should tell you so if you try to publish an edit when someone else edits before you, but in this case, it appears that it didn’t. Oh well. At least I managed to do that before this happened.

You did. Anyways, the work is done. you may clarify what this is - WYSIWYG editor

I guess I should add the meaning of that acronym. You are right.

@Vishwavijay – WYSIWYG is an acronym for What You See Is What You Get.

I support this suggestion for a category - there are at least five articles that would go into it.

@Adelaide This isn’t a category suggestion. And they are already aptly categorized under “Using the Forums”…

Oh, yes, thank you! I misread the thread…

@Adelaide No problem!
