I saw an advertisement for this movie on TV last night - and the female characters says “I read that on wikiHow” - not sure about the context of the comment, but it caught my attention.

Yup, we’ve had a thread about it actually. It’s when a car hits her, she says the trick to staying alive/unharmed is to “relax your legs, I read it on wikiHow”
Yup! It’s caused a lot of excitement here in the wikiHow community. The movie debuts tonight in the US. I’m going to see it on Monday night with the rest of the wikiHaus staff. I hope they make many jokes at our expense
PS @Versageek
- So *great* to see you here! For those who don’t know @Versageek
was one of the very first admins in the early days at wikiHow. She’s also a master at wiki spam prevention from her years of experience on the spam fighting battle at Wikipedia. Come to think of it, we should really be asking her about how to deal with our onslaught of user page spammers from India!
Damn the Indians LOL. Nothing racist meant, just joking ok.

Just a huge note to everyone – and I know every editor is anticipating to see the site’s mention in a motion picture movie, but this movie is rated R – which means if you are under 17, you must have either your parent or someone 17 or older with you, if attending a movie theater.
I viewed it this morning. It was great! The audience laughed at the part where she mentions wikiHow’s tip after she is hit by a car. Although the MPAA’s reason for rating it “R” is brief sexual content and language. In my opinion, its not really that
bad. But as Mal said, you still must be accompanied by an adult.

This is cool, I’ll probably watch it on movie2k.to
Well, I *loved* the part about wikiHow. And I think it’s really awesome that the Melissa McCarthy character who knows all sorts of tips and tricks about tons of topics is a wikiHow reader. She was basically a female MacGyver.
