When the video has the same title as the article or if it’s clear it isn’t right for the article, I don’t but if it has a title without How to but it has the subject of the article in the title, I do. 4. When patrolling RC, do you ever give Thumbs Up for reverts? Only if it’s a good catch. 5. How much articles can you categorize without getting fustrated? 10 6. Do you get fustrated on Video Adder like you do on Image Adder? Nope! It’s easy!

I’m sensing a pattern of questions here…:smiley:Most of my time is spent either writing new articles, Patrolling, welcoming, answering newbie queries, checking the Admin notice board, and until recently, reviewing NFD’s. I’ll have to adjust my editing habits now that the NFD guardian has wiped out the backlog in there… but pretty much “as the spirit moves” type of editing. Oh… and I always check the Village Pump for recent developments when I log in.

No, because it is impossible to do so. Sometimes if I see them making a lot of good reverts I’ll send them a “Thanks for patrolling recent changes!” through quick note. 5. Do you get fustrated on Video Adder like you do on Image Adder? When I actually, ya know, use the video picker, than no, It’s relatively easy. I check the forums a lot from my iPhone on the go, ya know, because I can, but I don’t really edit with my phone, I do that more from my computer.

Just like Lois, it has to be a significant edit or a large improvement that I see outside of the person’s “comfort zone”. 5. Quite a lot, actually. 6. If I find the need to add something, I’ll go into individual articles; I rarely use the Dashboard tools.

When patrolling RC, do you ever give Thumbs Up for reverts? I try to give thumbs-ups for well done, major rewrites, article cleanups, helpful steps or tip additions, and other edits like that. 5. I *always* thoroughly watch the video, after one time I was patrolling videos and had to delete 15 of the 18 that were there, because they didn’t fit the article. Some even had titles that made sense, but they never would have helped a reader looking to complete the how-to task.4. When patrolling RC, do you ever give Thumbs Up for reverts? No, but most of the time you can’t anyway.5. How much articles can you categorize without getting frustrated? I can generally do about 50 at a time before taking a break, but it’s not because I’m frustrated…more just because I need breaks from stuff.6. It’s a lot harder to find good videos than it is to find good images - and I know just how hard it is to find images, too! The majority of videos that you find in the video adder tool end up being advertisements or junk, even if the title or the general concept follows the same theme as the article. That’s why patrolling them (either through RC patrol or through the Quality Guardian) is very important!:slight_smile:
