Beat Dodongo's Cavern to get the Bomb Bag. Before you can get Din’s Fire, you have to get the Bomb Bag. You receive this in Dodongo’s Cavern, which is located outside of Goron City on Death Mountain. [1]
  2. 2
Visit the Fairy Fountain on Death Mountain. You need to talk to the Great Fairy on Death Mountain before you can unlock the Fairy Fountain that gives you Din’s Fire. Head to the Death Mountain Trail and climb to the summit. Throw a bomb at the weird-looking wall behind the owl. Then, enter the cavern to find the Great Fairy Fountain. Step onto the Triforce symbol and play “Zelda’s Lullaby” on the ocarina to receive the Spin Attack. [2]
    • After you get the Spin Attack, the Great Fairy will tell you to visit her friend near Hyrule Castle to receive another power—this is the Fairy that will give you Din’s Fire!

Transform into Child Link. You can only get Din’s Fire when you’re playing as Child Link. If you’re currently playing as Adult Link, head to the Temple of Time outside of Castle Town Market. Simply place the Master Sword back into the pedestal to turn back into Child Link. [3]
  4. 4
Head towards Hyrule Castle from Castle Town Market. Enter the Castle Town Market from Hyrule Field or the Temple of Time (if you just turned back into Child Link). Then, go through the exit that takes you to Hyrule Castle.
  5. 5
Climb up the vines and jump over the guarded gate. Once you enter the path that takes you to Hyrule Castle, you should see some vines growing on the cliff to the right—there used to be a girl standing here earlier in the game. Simply climb up them and then jump down the other side of the gate to continue on the path. [4]
  6. On the Hyrule Castle path, there’s a sign to the right that reads “Dead End.” Behind the sign is a boulder that you can now blow up with your Bomb Bag. Simply place a bomb next to the boulder to blow it up. [5]
  7. Blowing up the boulder reveals a small tunnel that Link can crawl through. Go through the tunnel and on the other side, you’ll find yourself at a Great Fairy Fountain. [6]
  8. 8
Step on the Triforce symbol and play “Zelda's Lullaby." Walk to the front of the fountain and stand on the Triforce symbol. Then, get out your ocarina and play “Zelda’s Lullaby.”
  9. After you play “Zelda’s Lullaby,” the Great Fairy will appear and grant you Din's Fire. [7]

  1. 1
Farore’s Wind As Child Link, go to Zora’s Fountain and swim to the small patch of land at the bottom right of the map. Place a bomb near the silver rock, which blows up the entire wall. Enter the cave to find the Great Fairy Fountain. Then, play “Zelda’s Lullaby” while standing on the Triforce symbol to receive Farore’s Wind. [10]
    • Farore’s Wind lets you create a warp point at the entrance of any dungeon. When you want to go to the warp point, simply use Farore’s Wind again.
    • Using Farore’s Wind consumes 6 MP.
  2. 2
Nayru’s Love After beating the Shadow Temple and rescuing the Carpenters from the Gerudo’s Fortress, go to the Desert Colossus (either Child or Adult Link is fine). Head right, sticking close to the top of the map until you see 2 palm trees and a crack on the wall in between them. Place a bomb by the crack and enter the cave once it explodes. At the Great Fairy Fountain, play “Zelda’s Lullaby” while standing on the Triforce symbol to receive Nayru’s Love. [11]
    • Nayru’s Love surrounds Link with a blue shield, making him invulnerable to most enemies. Strong enemies can still knock Link back, while Ganon can still harm him.
    • Using Nayru’s Love consumes 12 MP. It uses up your magic quickly and typically lasts less than 1 minute. You can’t use any other spells while it’s in use.

    Top Answerer
No, it only works as child Link.
  • Question
How do I get into the temple of fire?
    Community Answer
As adult Link, go to Death Mountain and you should find this little gorgon. Throw a bomb at him and he will tell you about the temple with the dragon, open the shop, and give you a red tunic. Go where the boss gorgon was as a child, and there is a shortcut to the crater. Then find the broken bridge and hookshot across it. Then you will run into Sheik, and he will teach you a song to teleport there, and the dungeon is straight away from where you meet him.
  • Question
I am at the fountain and played the song, but no fairy appeared. What am I doing wrong?
    Community Answer
You did not talk to the fairy on the top of Death Mountain. If you want, you can try beating Dodongo's Cavern. To talk to the fairy on the top of Death Mountain, you must have the Hylian Shield.
