How do I know what's causing my leak in my radiator?

The radiator hose design uses an "O" ring connection system at some of the hose connection joints. This type of connection is unlike the traditional hose clamp connection in that it can leak slowly and unnoticeably over a period of time to the point where the coolant fluid level is low enough that the thermostat and water pump will fail without warning, which is an unpleasant surprise if you're not checking and replenishing radiator fluid on a daily basis.
