Roti Recipe
Ingredients:
* 2 cups whole wheat flour
* 3/4 cup water (or as needed)
* 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
* 1 tbsp oil (optional)
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt (if using).
Gradually add water to the flour mixture, kneading it until it forms a smooth, pliable dough. If the dough is too dry, add more water. If it's too sticky, add more flour.
Add the oil to the dough and knead it again for a few minutes until the oil is fully incorporated.
Divide the dough into equal-sized balls (about the size of a golf ball).
Dust each ball with flour and roll it out into a thin, circular shape with a rolling pin.
Heat a skillet or tawa over medium-high heat.
Place the roti on the skillet and cook for 30 seconds or until the surface starts to bubble and puff up.
Flip the roti and cook the other side for another 30 seconds.
Remove the roti from the skillet and place it on a plate.
Brush with ghee or butter (if desired).
Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
Serve your homemade roti hot with your favorite curry or chutney. Enjoy!
