Favorite Piece of Advice
- Be Prepared for Your Day: Planning your elopement becomes a journey of love and respect for the environment. Research a photographer you connect with. This is a very emotional decision for couples, and the photographer should be able to provide the support, planning expertise, and experience that will help you ease your nerves, feel relaxed, and really enjoy your day. Research local marriage laws where you choose to elope—domestic and international.
- Choose a Meaningful Location: Choose a spot that is significant to your relationship or resonates with your shared interests. Let the backdrop reflect your love story, whether it’s a secluded mountain peak, a tranquil beach, or a hidden forest grove. Research permits for public land locations.
- Create Customized Ceremony Elements: Personalize your ceremony by incorporating custom elements such as a handcrafted altar, unique seating arrangements, or a special unity ceremony. These customized touches will add a personal and memorable touch to your elopement.
