Do you want to change the language of audio or subtitles on Max (formerly known as HBO Max)? By default, Max uses the same language of your device, but you can easily switch to another language before or during your movie or show. While some shows and movies have alternate language audio tracks and captions available, these features aren't available for all programming. This wikiHow article teaches you how to change the language on Max using a website, a TV, or the mobile app.

- Click the Audio and Subtitles icon in the lower right.
- Select the subtitle language you’d like to turn on.
- Change the audio language if there are any options available.
- Continue playing the show or movie and give the new settings a moment to load.
