Find your private or support inbox on Facebook

Are you having trouble finding your Facebook messages? All messages sent through Facebook messenger can be seen by clicking the Messenger icon—a chat bubble with a lightning bolt inside. You can also find your Support Inbox if needed. Here’s how to check your message inbox on Facebook using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

  1. Log into https://www.facebook.com/ in a web browser. You should see your home feed.
  2. This looks like a speech bubble with a lightning bolt, and you'll see it up in the upper-right corner of the page.
    • This opens the "Chats" panel, which displays your recent messages.
  3. This link is at the bottom of the Chats panel.
    • Your Messenger inbox will open.
  4. You can scroll through conversations in the column on the left side of the page. Recent conversations are at the top of the column, while older conversations are toward the bottom.
    • If you need to find your Support Inbox to find a message sent to or from Facebook Support, click your profile and select Help & Support . Then, click Support Inbox .
