When you completely delete your X (formerly known as Twitter) account, you will lose your display name, your @username, and your profile information.     • If you're not already logged into your account, enter your information to do so now.
    • To delete your Twitter (X) account, you must first deactivate it. After 30 days, it will be permanently deleted.
  2. You'll see either of these at the top left of your screen. A menu will open on the left.

    • You may need to tap Settings and Support first.

  1. Go to https://www.twitter.com/ in your browser. This will open your X home page if you're logged into your X account already.
    • If you aren't logged into your account, click Log In in the top-right corner of the window, then enter your email address (or username, or phone number) and password into the labeled text fields. You might have to confirm a text sent to your phone if prompted.
