Achieving an Alpha Mindset
Make the first move in social situations. Alphas don’t wait for other people to hit them up to invite them out. Alphas are the ones doing the inviting. If you want to talk to someone, don’t just sit around and hope they contact you. Make the first move, say hello, and ask them how they’re doing!
Ask for forgiveness, not permission. Alphas do what they think is right, even if other people are too nervous or scared of doing it. Stop worrying about whether something is “proper” or “typical.” If you think it’s the right thing to do, do it. Either things will go well and people will question their own ideas, or you’ll learn something new. A simple apology and explanation can go a long way! Just don’t do anything dangerous or disrespectful.
Look out for the little guy. As the leader of the pack, it’s up to an alpha to make sure the people around them are taken care of. Not everyone has the skills or privileges you do, so it’s important that you use your own skills and privileges to help other people out.
Remember that everyone is important.
Some people think alphas are “top of the food chain,” or that they deserve more than other people, but that’s not true at all. Alphas are just one archetype in a whole system, and every archetype has its purpose and place. Give people the respect they deserve.
Other archetypes:
Sigmas are similar to alphas, but they prefer to do things their own way. They don’t mind it if other people think they’re odd or strange. They do their own thing, make their own rules, and don’t chase power or social status.
Omegas are introverted geniuses. Like sigmas, they don’t care about other people’s approval. Their fulfillment comes from within, and that’s what motivates them to chase their goals, with or without other people.
Betas are sometimes seen as low on the ladder, but that’s not true. Betas are important archetypes that are caring, nurturing, and kind. They’re great with people, and know how to resolve conflicts. Without betas, the world would be a mess!
