A bucket is a good drawing exercise for learning perspective. It's a simple shape, but with a dimension that's helpful to learn. You'll improve your drawing by learning to draw a bucket. See Step One for more specific instructions.

  2. This curve follows the bottom half of the ellipse that started the bucket.
  3. Remember that the handle goes outside the bucket, and that you can't see the part of the handle that's behind the bucket.
  4. The liquid follows the top curve of the bucket and goes all the way to the front edge.
  5. Decide which side the light is on, then darken parts more that are further from the light.
