Find your washer's model number so you can order parts and get help
PDF download Download Article

While the brand of your washing machine may be printed on the unit's exterior, its model number and serial number are typically elsewhere on the machine. The location of your washing machine's model number sticker or plate varies by brand, and whether the machine is top-loading or front-loading. This wikiHow guide will show you exactly where to find the model number of the most popular washing machines, including GE, Bosch, LG, Maytag, and much more.

Things You Should Know

  • On most top-loading and front-loading washing machines, you'll find the model number on a sticker inside the door.
  • On some washing machines, you'll need to look on the side or the back of the unit to find the sticker.
  • If you have a stacked washer/dryer combo, the model and serial number sticker may be inside the dryer door.
