In one interview with Yahoo Sports, Payton Talbott mentioned that people think he's gay because of his voice, his fashion, and the music he listens to. In the same interview he says, "I'm not gay. People just think I am gay. Actually, I am not even going to say if I am or not. Maybe I am gay." Until he decides to label his sexuality publicly, it's best not to assume one way or the other.

Speculation that Talbott is dating musician Frank Ocean started when they posted pictures of each other to their Instagram Stories on Valentine's Day this year. Ocean has also attended many of Talbott's UFC fights. While the rumors of their relationship are going around, they haven't publicly made it official.
