How do I set up the Gmail icon on my computer for easy access?

You can open the browser and create a bookmark for your Gmail which will reflect on your browser as a button or in the list of bookmarked pages. It depends upon your browser settings. You can use the Gmail app and click open your Gmail. While adding your login details i.e. the username and password, you can click on the option that says Remember Me. This will add your login details on your computer. So anyone can just click on the Gmail option and read the emails without having to log in with the username and password. Or, you can create a page like a Notepad or a Word document on your computer with the link to Gmail. Just click on the link and Gmail page will open.

There is for Chromebook. It can be downloaded via Play Store on your Chromebook. Other computers also have it. You can do a Google search by typing "Computer brand name + Gmail app" and see if it is available for your specific computer. You can download it freely and use it after logging in.
