Because √5 and √2 do not combine easily, you could factor out the 3 and leave it as 3(√5 + √2), or you could evaluate the two square roots, add them together and then multiply by 3. You could also evaluate √5 and multiply that by 3, then evaluate √2 and multiply that by 3, and then add the two products together. Each of these methods results in the same answer.
