QuestionExplaining what you mean by being open to all Disney princesses and how do they decide which Disney princess I get?Avery TaulbeeCommunity AnswerThat just means be open-minded as to your casting results, if there are any. You may have your heart set on being Belle, but the auditioners may decide that you're a better fit for Ariel, or something to that effect. As for the decision itself, it's mainly based on availability. Auditions will detail which specific character lookalikes they're looking for, so you would likely end up as one of those if you were to be cast. There are a few different guidelines that help narrow down character appearance, but they've been more lenient as of late.
-
QuestionDo I have to have the same eye color as the princess I’m auditioning for?Alexis MorganCommunity AnswerIt would definitely help. However, they do make colored contacts to change the color of your eyes.

-
QuestionDo you have to be the exact height requirement? I'm 5'4", and the princess I want to audition for is 5'5". Would I be able to get that character?Community AnswerSure! As long as you resemble the princess in features and height and can act and are familiar with her story, you can do it. In terms of height limits, it's only extreme height differences that would disqualify you from getting the role. The limits on weight are more important, as all the Disney princesses are skinny.

QuestionWhat do you do if you have a darker skin tone but get a character with a light skin tone? Will they allow that, or will you not get a part if they don’t need a princess with your skin tone?Community AnswerYou will have to play a princess who shares your ethnicity. For non-white women, the options are limited, so for example, if you are African-American, the only choice you have is Tiana. If you match the princess's ethnicity and looks but your skin tone is too light or dark, the artists can use makeup on your skin to achieve the desired effect.

If you really think you are, then go for it! However, still enroll to college in Utah because how bad would you feel if the audition didn't work out and you hadn't enrolled for Utah as well? You can always withdraw if you succeed in your auditions, and then apply to California institutions.
