How can I change the background to white on a desktop? I didn't see any white option there.

If all else fails, you can make an easy solid-color background by opening Microsoft Paint (free and pre-installed on Windows 10 devices), using the bucket fill tool to make it white, saving it wherever you want (just don't forget!), then using this guide with that image as your wallpaper.

No, because there would be no point in hackers getting into your computer just to change your background. Instead, you either changed it by accident or you set the wallpaper to switch every hour so (this is customizable). Go into your personalization settings and you can disable this function.

How do I activate Windows 10?

You only have to activate Windows 10 if you did not enter a serial key during installation. If you have a pre-built system, it is already activated, so you can change the wallpaper. If you have a self-built machine and you did not enter the key, you must purchase the full version of Windows 10. Once you have purchased it, all you have to do is go into settings and activate it using the key. FYI, I've heard that even on a non-activated OS you can right click the picture and select "Set as desktop picture" or something like that, and it will set the background. I'm not sure it works, but you could try.

All the wallpapers I download are fuzzy when I put them on my desktop. Why?

Screens have a native resolution, as do images. This means that a screen can't display an image to its fullest detail if the screen itself isn't that detailed, just as an image can't be as detailed if it's been all bloated up and stretched. Think like writing on a balloon, then stretching it out really far.
