Don't necessarily rule out a school based on the cost. While finances do play a key role in finding which college is the best fit for you, don't let the sticker price of a particular institution discourage you from applying. Many colleges offer a ton of financial aid and scholarships, so you may end up paying a fraction of the advertised cost. Also, if your dream school doesn't offer you enough money to make it a viable option, talk to them. Schools will often match financial aid packages from other institutions to encourage you to enroll.
