You would cite it the same way you would cite something in a chapter. It is part of the book. It gives the reader a bit of a hint of what's going on before the story actually starts.

When listing citations in a bibliography, always go in alphabetical order, A-Z, by the last names.

You cannot quote that much material directly, you would have to paraphrase it (put it in your own words). The citation method is the same whether you're paraphrasing or quoting.

The words within the brackets were added by the person who used the quote, i.e. the author of the main article. They indicate either a gap between two sentences joined together, or words added that are not part of the quote, or signify a change in capitalization of a word.
