How can I change a brass colored finish on a shower door frame to an oiled bronze finish?

Traditionally, you'd sand it down and apply your new finish, but there are also chemicals that you can put on metal that can cause a reaction like the one you're looking for. If you wanted to age it and maybe cause an early rust, you could put a patina on it. If it doesn't turn out satisfactory to you, then sand it and refinish it like you were probably going to have to do anyway.
