  • Question
How do I finish with a rebound?
    Renee COLLARD
    Community Answer
Let's say you're doing a roundoff: start with a long hurdle, don't go high, keep your hand by your ears at all times and your legs squeezed together, round out your back like an angry cat. When you're doing it, slightly turn in your right arm if you're using your left leg and left if you're doing your right. Make sure you push off your hands, popping from your shoulders. Keep your hands by your ears when you come up, snap your legs in to get good power, don't try to jump up, you should just bounce off the floor. This helps me -- my rebounds used to suck but now they're good and I can connect 7 handsprings as well as tucks.
  • Question
My feet slip at the end of the roundoff. How do I stop that ?
    Community Answer
Maybe just use some gymnastics chalk or something with the same base to keep you from slipping.
  • Question
How do I lift my arms without falling?
    Community Answer
Keep your arms by your ears from start to finish. When you land, be sure you are in a tight hollow position and plant your feet so you do not fall.
  • Question
What do I do if I can't keep my legs straight while in the air?
    Community Answer
You can practice calf raises. If you have a cheer mat, you can stand on the edge with your toes on the mat and your heels hanging off. Point your toes. When you do this, you will lock your knees. If you practice these often, they will become a habit and you will automatically lock your legs in the air. Be sure to keep your chest up as well.
  • Question
I have tried and tried but it isn't working. I find it hard to snap my legs together and bounce up when I land. What should I do?
    Community Answer
Run as fast as you can, then hurdle and do a cartwheel, but. when both of your legs are in the air, put them together and keep them straight when you land.
  • Question
How do I jump while doing a handstand?
