If it is only on one of the corners, it should be fine. After you get it wet, close the book (without making any sort of folds, and with all of the pages flat), and set other books on top of it. Let it sit like this for a while until the pages are fully dry.

Be sure to flatten the pages after the book is completely dry. You can do this by placing the book under something heavy and allowing it to rest under that pressure for a week or so. Be sure to make it so that none of the pages are folded before putting the book under a heavy object so that the pages aren't permanently creased.

This cookbook has dried and now has several pages stuck together. the book is totally dry, just stuck together. Should I mist it with water to help free the pages?

If the pages are "glossy", unfortunately there is nothing you can do. You could try using a letter opener or nail file to pry apart the stuck segments, but there's no guarantee it will work. Misting the pages will exacerbate the problem.
