QuestionWould sugar snap peas be an appropriate veggie to add to my fondue options?Community AnswerI've never had good luck with whole snap peas. The stringy part to pull the pod open and the outside "flesh" seems really chewy to me. But if you like them whole, I say go for it!

QuestionWhat can you do with hard snap peas?Community AnswerYou can eat them whole, put them in a stir-fry, mix them into a salad, steam or blanch them, or pickle them.

QuestionCan you eat a sugar snap pea (not the pod, just the pea) after it starts to put out roots?Community AnswerYes, there are no roots though, the pea has sprouted, and that sprout is just as good as the pea and more nutritious.

QuestionEat whole or shell the peas?afifaCommunity AnswerEat the whole pod. Unlike with garden peas, the pods on sugar snap peas can be eaten. Don’t worry about removing the round peas inside. The pods on sugar snap peas are crunchy and sweet. However, if you do not enjoy them whole, you can shell them.

QuestionI want to eat my frozen sugar snap peas (packaged from the store) with dip. Do I have to thaw them before I blanche them?Community AnswerIf you bought them frozen from the store and they are not labelled something like "frozen fresh", they are probably already cooked and just need to be reheated (or just defrosted if you prefer. Only defrost as much as you will eat at once, because defrosted vegetables should not be kept at room temperature for too long). But if you know they were frozen fresh - no, you do not need to thaw them first, just be aware it will take a minute longer to cook them.
