To thicken your hair, try using volumizing shampoo and conditioners. Keep in mind that these shouldn't be used daily. You can also use thickening products and sprays that can thicken the hair up when you style it. Another trick would include blow-drying your hair upside down. In doing this, you're drying the hair in the opposite direction of how the hair grows out. This can create a nice lift so that when you flip your hair back again, you'll have a lot more volume.

Having shiny hair really comes down to the health of your hair and how you treat it. Try using hydrating shampoos and conditioners in combination with oils such as argan oil to get that shine. • Question
Is using non heated curlers okay for my hair?
    Community Answer
Yes. But these curlers tend to twist your hair, and thus lead to breakage of hair roots. But if you have strong hair, you can go for it.
  • Question
Should you not condition the root?
    Community Answer
You are supposed to put conditioner mainly at the bottom of your hair, but it is good to put a little at the roots, too.
  • Question
Is it true that you only need to shampoo your roots of your hair and condition the ends?
    Community Answer
The roots are definitely the most important part to shampoo, as that is where most of the oiliness is concentrated. Meanwhile, the ends are usually the driest, and overshampooing can exacerbate that, especially given how harsh most drug store shampoos are (though there are also gentle shampoos out there that won't damage your hair). However, it would be good to shampoo all of your hair at least occasionally to wash out germs, product residue, etc. that accumulate over time on the entirety of your hair. For the same reasons, conditioner is more needed on the ends of the hair than at the roots, and some people find that using conditioner on the roots makes their hair too oily or weighed down. However, that shouldn't be a problem if a) you use a high-quality conditioner, b) you rinse the conditioner out really well.
  • Question

  • Question
Since my hair gets greasy easily, is it okay if I wash my hair every day with shampoo but finish it off with conditioner?

No, I wouldn't recommend this. Washing your hair every day can make it dry, brittle, and unmanageable. Wash it every other day and use conditioner only on the other days.
