You can sit on a chair and write on a desk. Keep your feet flat. Do not lean over or sit with your legs crossed.

  • Question
I was left-handed as a boy, but some teachers 'persuaded' me to be right-handed. My handwriting and writing speed is still affecting me in writing university exams. What can I do?
    Community Answer
Learn to use the hand that feels most natural to you. If you're uncomfortable or feel generally less dexterous using your right hand, then maybe you need to consider switching to writing with your left hand. Give yourself plenty of time to learn, and practice writing the print alphabet. I would also suggest trying to draw circles of different sizes, loops, and curves to prepare yourself for later if you choose to write in cursive. It will probably take you some time before it starts to feel really natural again, but try to be patient, and practice a little every day.
  • Question
How to write neatly when writing fast?
    Community Answer
Put your primary focus on writing neatly. You will naturally become quicker the more you practice.
  • Question
Is it better to use a handwriting book or a normal notebook? Where do I start at the alphabet or the 3 paragraphs?
    Community Answer
Since handwriting books and normal notebooks are very similar, feel free to use either. Start with the alphabet to make sure you have a signature look for all your letters. Then start the paragraphs.
  • Question
How can I improve my Bengali handwriting while I am reading in class 8?

Try doing calligraphy. Calligraphy is fun and entertaining, and doing it improves your handwriting, no matter what language you write in.
  • Question
I am studying in class 6. I have cursive handwriting. I am able to write in a good handwriting for a few minutes after that it will be so bad. What should I do?

Keep trying, it takes a while to master and have it not feel hard. Try to be consistent, if you can only keep a neat and fancy cursive handwriting for a few minutes, then it might be better to try and aim for a less fancy (maybe not cursive) but neat handwriting. Over time, with practice, you'll get better at it, until one day you do it without thinking and it won't be messy.
