Work your backside off, get dirty and sweaty. Hard work is the only way to be a cowboy. You can wear the clothes, but that doesn't make you a cowboy, it just makes you a poser.

Go to the farm whenever you can to enjoy the countryside and practice your riding, herding, and milking. Drive a big truck, listen to country music, go to rodeos, country music concerts, and horse, bull, and cows auctions. Make friends with other cowboys. If you want to go to college, choose a course related to the countryside and farming, like agriculture.
