Put a gummy candy in the microwave for 10-20 seconds. Try the shortest time, then zap it for a few more seconds if it doesn’t melt completely right away. Once it’s melted, stir it up with a fork, then knead it with your hands when it’s cooled down a little. It will become a gooey blob of opaque slime!

To make a slime you can drizzle over a cake or cupcake, mix ½ cup of corn syrup and 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar with a few drops of food coloring. Green is a good bet if you want a nice “slimy” color. Drizzle the slime on with a spoon or fork.

Gradually add a little more of the liquid component of the recipe. Go slowly, as adding too much liquid will make the slime very runny and difficult to adjust back to a good consistency.
  • Question
Why do I only keep it for 5 days?
    Toastycat09
    Community Answer
If you keep it any longer than that, the slime will harden and it will not be very fun to play with.
  • Question
Do I have to use oil?
    Community Answer
It depends what kind of slime you are making. Adding oil will work only if you are making specific slime, like fluffy slime or cloud slime.
  • Question
What other substance can I use instead of cornstarch?

You can use Starbursts and gummy bears instead of marshmallows. Then just add it powdered sugar.
  • Question

    Community Answer
Add more of the cornstarch or powdered sugar. If it's too hard, add more melted candy.
  • Question
Is my slime safe to eat after I've played with it a lot? Could it have germs on it?
    Community Answer

  • Question
Is there a substitute for powdered sugar?
    JASMINE CHRISTLEY-KRUER
    Community Answer
Baking powder is the best alternative instead. It's not the same but it'll work.
  • Question
    Is it really edible?
    TicTacToy
    Community Answer
Yes! Well, they are actually more of "taste safe", because it might not be a good idea to gobble up the batch of slime all at once! Think of these slimes as taste safe, not as snacks. And you won't really gobble the whole thing at once because it doesn't taste that great and you might get a stomachache.
  • Question
How do we prevent it from exploding in our microwave?
    Yes, this is jaeden
    Community Answer
Put some wax paper over the top of the container. That always works when I put thicker liquids in the microwave. If it does explode, stop the microwave, take out the container, and clean the interior of the microwave thoroughly with paper towel and disinfectant wipe/wet wipes.
  • Question
If I don't have a microwave then can I still make this marshmallow slime? If not what other slimes can I make with no microwave?
    Community Answer
Yes! You can use a double-boiling method above and there are many other freezer-slime methods on the internet. Make sure you do your research though, some are fake.
  • Question
Can I make all the slimes and combine them?
    Community Answer
Yes. Mixing all the slimes together shouldn't affect them. It might make them taste kind of gross, though.
  • Question
What is an alternative to powdered sugar I can use?
    Community Answer
Baking powder is the best alternative.
  • Question
Is it still okay to eat it after I’ve played with it for five days?
    Community Answer
Probably not, considering all the dust and dirt and possible bacteria in it. I'd suggest you make a new batch if you want to eat it.
