How can I make new friends and eventually become good friends with someone?

These days, even just saying "hi" to someone is a bit of a challenge, so you should always start the conversation with a compliment. People love being complimented, so saying a simple "I like your shoes. Where'd you get them?" could start an easy conversation. To become good friends with them, ask them some things about themselves and get to know them.

Pick a moment when they're not busy with someone else. Compliment them. Just telling them you like their shirt and asking where they got it can start a pleasant conversation.
