Use cocoa powder if you want a smoother texture, but if you want little bites of chocolate while you drink then you can use finely-chopped chocolate.
  • Question
What should I put in my milkshake?
    Community Answer
You can put in whatever flavors you like. Most milkshakes have milk, ice cream and chocolate syrup but you can also add peanut butter or anything else you feel would enhance your milkshake.
  • Question
For the first one, what do I have to put in the cup?
    Community Answer
Nothing. This is only done to make it cold (if you want, you can put some chocolate syrup to give it a twist).

    Use a blender.

Yes. For a nutty flavor, add a cup of smooth peanut butter.
  • Question
How would I do this if I only have a small blender?
    Community Answer
I would keep pouring your ingredients in with smaller measurements. Repeat this until you get the full milkshake. To preserve your milkshake, place it in a container in the fridge.
  • Question
Do you need all the stuff?
    Community Answer
If you're using vanilla ice cream, you need everything but the whipped cream. If you're using chocolate ice cream, you may omit the chocolate syrup.
  • Question
How much sugar do I add?

Don't add too much, but of course it's based on your preferences. A teaspoon would be ample.
  • Question
Can I make a chocolate milkshake without ice cream?

No, you can't make a chocolate milkshake without ice cream, because the texture won't come like a milkshake. If dairy is an issue, try using an almond or coconut ice cream.
  • Question
What should I do if I don't have a blender?
    Community Answer
Buy a blender. Salvation Army usually has them for a few dollars if money is an issue. If it's not, try a Magic Bullet. They're perfect for shakes and smoothies.

Can I use frozen Greek yogurt? If yes, then how much?

I don't see why you can't add yogurt. Try adding about two or three tablespoons. Bear in mind that the yogurt will make the smoothie thicker.

No, but it will still be good!
  • Question
How long do I need to blend it?
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
Typically, 10-15 seconds is enough. But it depends on what you like. If you blend it for 3 seconds, there will still be nice chunks. If you used bananas and strawberries, then one spoon will have a definite banana chunk where the next may have a definite strawberry taste to it. If you blend it for a full minute, it will become very well mixed, creating the same taste with every sip. One final note: fruits contain fibers, which are an essential nutrient. Blending stuff destroys those fibers to a certain extent, making it slightly less useful to eat fibers in this manner.
  • Question
Why does this make so little?
    Community Answer
The more of the ingredients you use, the more it will make. The recipe makes enough for 1 person, but you can double the recipe to make more if you desire.
  • Question
Can I add chocolates to the milkshake?
    Community Answer
You could add some shaved chocolate but it's not a good idea to add real chocolate pieces or bars as they won't melt and will create a sludge at the bottom of the milkshake.

  • Question
