The beginning series were not rated by a color index and will always be black in color rather there common uncommon or rare.

But it says on a god card that, for example, "If your devotion to blue is more than seven, _____ isn't a creature." This means that if you have more than seven blue islands and island symbols in your cards' mana cost on the battlefield, your god card turns from a legendary enchantment creature to a legendary enchantment. Now it cannot attack or block anymore, nor die from combat damage, and the card's other abilities affect you and your creatures as an enchantment.
