QuestionWhat is the difference between a coven and a cult?Community AnswerA coven follows one another and respects that, while a cult blindly follows one leader without second thought.
-
QuestionCan a coven consist of only two people?Community AnswerA coven can consist of any number of people, although I would personally aim for more people if you want more social interaction. Starting your coven with two people may be ideal, however, if you wish to slowly branch out to other people.
-
QuestionCan I start a coven online?Community AnswerThere is nothing keeping you from starting an online coven. However, an online coven makes it incredibly hard to collaborate on rituals, spells, etc. Online covens are best for sharing and swapping knowledge and meeting other Wiccans.
-
QuestionHow can I recruit people to my coven while keeping it private?Community AnswerThis can be tricky. Your best bet may be to ask people you are sure will say yes. For others, bring up Wiccan covens to gauge their interest before telling them that you have one. Before inviting people, ask them to promise to keep it secret.
-

QuestionIs there a ritual of some sort to begin the path? Does there need to be someone who is deemed the High Priestess?Community AnswerYou can create one yourself, or look one up online. Or you don't have to have one at all. It's all about preference. Having a High Priestess is a hierarchy, which is fine, but some may not prefer that. You can all be equal Priests or Priestesses, if you desire.
-
QuestionHow can I become a high priest or priestess if I have never been a part of a coven?Selene48Community AnswerStudy about a specific Wiccan religion for 366 days, then join a coven. Learn and practice for a few years, then you will get promoted to high priestess or high priest.

QuestionIs there any sort of linking spell we need to do to initiate each member of our coven?Community AnswerThat depends on your members. If you're doing an equal coven, ask and get consensus. If you're doing a hierarchy, you/they should choose. But even if you're doing a hierarchy, sometimes a consensus is a good idea.
-
QuestionDo I need a high priest or priestess?MysticalExperimentationCommunity AnswerMost covens have one, but some are egalitarian or run on a different system, so it's not a necessity.
-
QuestionDo I have to ask my parents if I can start one?Community AnswerIt depends on your parents. If they are not OK with Paganism, you certainly shouldn't talk to them about it. If they are, and they want to be sure you're safe while respecting your beliefs, you should probably ask them for their opinions. Whatever you end up doing, remember that at a young age, it is likely that the coven members won't have the maturity to keep secrets or use magic well, and you must be aware of the risks you're taking.
-

Most of them don't even believe in such supernatural creatures. If you're interested in witches who supposedly summon demons, I suggest you look into Satanism and other occult religions.

QuestionWhat if I don't like Witchvox?Community AnswerIf you don't like Witchvox, you can simply find connections through the Internet by browsing or searching area-specific covens or organizations. If what you seek is creating a coven, all you need is meeting Pagans; your problem is knowing where to find them. Another option, in addition to all websites and official organizations, is to frequent cafes and shops that cater to magic practitioners' needs; ask around or get to know people.
