  • Question
Should I eat my family if they die?
    Lucas Benavides
    Community Answer
No. You could get a really bad disease. Also, it is going to be very bad for your reputation.
  • Question
Which area is safer to shelter in place - a basement that is rock not concrete and has windows, or a windowless bathroom inside the house?

    Community Answer
The basement. The dirt around it will also protect from radiation, along with the stone. Always try to stay in the middle though, because there can still be small amounts of radiation near the walls. If you can, try putting a bathroom in your basement as well. This will make it less risky to use the bathroom.
  • Question
Should I raid the nearest convenience store for food?
    Peyton Schmiege
    Community Answer
Wait for the radiation to pass before raiding any abandoned buildings. When it has passed, raid for canned food only.
  • Question

You would be instantly vaporized and would not feel anything.
  • Question
What if I don’t want to avoid falling debris?
    Peyton Schmiege
    Community Answer
If you don't want to avoid falling debris, you might die from being crushed, but if you want to survive the nuke and avoid falling debris, stay away from structurally compromised buildings and go to a protected basement or shelter.
  • Question
What would be better for sheltering, a garage or a bathroom with one window?
    Community Answer
A cinder-block garage would be a safer option if you can tape it up. It could hold more supplies, too.
