In crashes involving fire, explosions and submersion, which happen very rarely but have devastating consequences, if you are knocked unconscious because you did not wear your seatbelt, then you won’t be able too escape and you won't be able to help free your children. Be authoritative in voice and actions after an accident so the children know they can trust you but that you mean it when you tell them they have to move quickly and carefully to safety. Keep an eye on where they are getting out to as well, you don't want them stepping into oncoming traffic.
