How do I backspace?

You are usually able to backspace by either pressing the clear or delete button. The button that you will need to press entirely depends on the make/model of the device that you are using. For example, my old flip phone had a "CLR" (clear) button at the top of the phone between the "Answer" & Hangup buttons. The device that you are using may be the same or be slightly different. I suggest referring to the users manual for your specific device for this information.
