This is because you must get a star rank on each retro cup. If you don’t know what star ranks are and how to get them, star ranks are obtained by getting first place on each race and win them for a fast time like you are in first place and you’re very far away from everyone else. You will get a certain amount of star ranks like 1 star, 2 stars and 3 stars. It doesn’t really matter but at least it will still count as getting 1 Star rank.
