QuestionHow do I reset my alarm panel?Drew Hawkins1Community AnswerThere are a couple of ways you can reset your alarm panel. The simplest is to power it down and then power it back on, which is called a power reset. Open up the panel and look for the power button. Hold it down until the panel turns off and there aren't any lights on. Wait a few seconds and then power it back on by pressing the button again. You can also try unplugging the panel itself to remove it from power and then plug it back in. Another way to reset your panel is to use the reset button. It's usually located on the bottom right of the keypad. Hold it down for a few seconds until the panel lights change color or start blinking. After a few moments it should return to normal.

QuestionWhy is my alarm beeping?Drew Hawkins1Community AnswerThere are a number of possible reasons why your alarm is beeping unexpectedly. The most common reason is a power failure. Check if the lights on the property are working to ascertain if the power is currently on. If the power is out and the alarm is ringing, this indicates that the batteries in the alarm system are dead and need to be replaced. It's also possible that your alarm is doing exactly what it's supposed to do: detect intruders. Check your property for any signs of intrusion, such as broken windows, stolen goods, and dirty footprints inside. If you have a video monitoring system on your property, check the footage to rule out the possibility of an intruder. If your alarm is connected to the phone lines, temporary phone outages can cause the alarm to ring. Call your phone provider from your mobile phone to find out if there have been any phone line problems in your area.
