Disable Siri and Classic Voice Control with this quick guide

The Voice Control feature is activated by holding down the Side or Home button. If your iPhone keeps activating classic Voice Control, you can easily disable it in settings. This is different from the digital assistant, Siri, which can also be turned off. Here's how to turn off Voice Control on your iPhone or iPad.

  4. There will be a blue checkmark.
    • Tap Siri & Search to return to the previous screen.
  5. This will be underneath Listen for .
    • If you have an iPhone 8 or earlier, you'll see ' Press Home for Siri instead.
    • The switch will turn grey.
    • Tap Settings to return to the previous page.
  6. You'll be asked to enter your passcode.
    • If you haven't already, set up your Face ID and passcode .
