Open the Google Play Store app on your Android phone or tablet . Tap the app icon that looks like a multicolored play icon.
- By default, you get updates automatically from the Google Play Store, but you can manually check if Discord has an update waiting.

Tap the search box at the top of your screen and type Discord . Alternatively, tap your profile icon and My apps and games to see any updates available for the apps installed on your phone or tablet.
- Tap the search result for Discord if you searched for it.

Tap Update . If you don't see this, then you have the most recent version of the app.
- If you did tap Update , then you're all set!

Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad . Tap the app icon that looks like an "A" made of popsicle sticks.
- You can enable automatic updates , or manually update apps.

Tap your profile photo or initials. You'll see one of these two options at the top-right corner.

Scroll down and tap Update next to Discord. If you don't see this option next to "Discord" in your apps list, try searching for it to make sure the app doesn't have an update. If you still don't see the option to update, you're currently using the most up-to-date version.
