French 75 Ingredients: ¼ oz. simple syrup ¼ oz. lemon juice (fresh is best) 1 ¼ oz. cognac Brut champagne (extra dry sparkling wine) Lemon peel for garnish Directions: * Place a champagne flute in the refrigerator to chill * Fill a shaker about half way full of ice cubes * Add the simple syrup, lemon juice, and cognac to the shaker * Shake * Strain into the chilled champagne flute * Top with champagne until the glass is just about full * Garnish with lemon peel ⇒ Add a touch of elderflower liqueur for a sweet-and-soft, floral taste.
