Pan-Seared Steak Recipe
Ingredients:
* 2 steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon)
* Salt and pepper, to taste
* 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
* Optional: fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme)
Instructions:
Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness.
Add the minced garlic, butter, and herbs (if using) to the skillet and let the butter melt.
Spoon the melted butter over the steaks as they cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
