February 16, 2013 Dear Max’s Deli Customer Service, I am writing about my experience at your location on Grant Road earlier today. I arrived with my young son at 11:00 a.m. to meet several girlfriends and their children. I was greeted by an employee named Jason, who held the door for me and offered to lead me to a table. I told him I was meeting friends, and he immediately led me to the rest of my party whom he had already seated and situated with high chairs. He quickly fetched me a high chair as well. Since we all had small children, Jason took our orders at our table so that we weren’t required to leave our little ones and order at the counter. He brought our food out promptly once it was ready and checked in on us several times during the course of our meal. Although Max’s Deli is a self-service establishment, Jason also refilled our drinks and brought us various items that we required, even though we offered to get them ourselves. After we finished eating, Jason brought us to-go boxes, cleared our plates, and insisted that we stay as long as we like. He also brought us drinks to go and escorted us out, holding the door for all of us and our children. Even though the restaurant was bustling with patrons who had come in for lunch, we couldn’t have felt further from being just “one of the crowd.” In fact, it felt more as if we were dining with our own private wait staff. My girlfriends and I dine out together several times each month, and we almost invariably eat at your establishment. Service like this is the very reason for our return visits. Your employees truly go above and beyond their duties. This is true of almost all of our visits, but the service we received today was particularly exemplary. Please pass along our appreciation to Jason and the rest of the staff at the Grant Road franchise. They are a credit to your organization. Your loyal customer, Corinne Smitherman
