How can I use last year's class codes, which has all of my handouts were downloaded, so I can find them with the new codes?

It would be easier to create a new class. Click on the class and project the classroom code and have them sign up. Then when you make an assignment use the reuse option and look for the assignment with the handouts you want them to use. You can then update the date due, points, etc.
