Noriko is a young female thief who runs into Zai early on his quest to recover his stolen goods. She is slim and pretty with wild purple hair and eyes to match. She likes to follow Zai around stealthily, watching him go about his obsessive business, but he often catches her in the act. She is loud and chaotic, and even though she helps him out occasionally, Zai does not understand her, though she thinks she can change him. Noriko carries a katana and several throwing stars with her and has limited martial arts training. She is very high energy and always excited at the prospect of a fight. It is revealed throughout the story that she is actually living a double life, thieving in the night for excitement while living a comfortable life with her parents in the day.
