July 12, 2013 Olivia Crumwell 1924 4th St. Ottawa, IL 61350 First National Bank of Ottawa 701 LaSalle Street, Ottawa, Illinois 61350 Dear First National Bank of Ottawa, I am writing to tell you about a suspicious email I received last week. As your records will indicate, I have been a member of the FNBO for 6 years. Never before have I received an email like this from the bank. The email said it was from the bank and that my account was overdrawn. In order to keep my account active, I would need to click on a link in the email and log in to resolve the matter. I try to keep my checking account balanced, but occasionally I overdraw the account. So even though I was suspicious, the email sounded credible. I clicked on the link and the next page looked exactly like the bank login page. I entered my user name and was about to put in my password when I looked at the URL. Instead of seeing the regular URL of the FNBO, the URL was completely different. It was a bunch of letters and numbers I didn't recognize. I can't believe I almost fell for this trick. I hope you can put an end to this criminal activity. I am attaching the suspicious email for your investigators. Sincerely, Olivia Crumwell
