Integrate all your favorite non-Steam games into Steam
Steam allows you to add other non-Steam games to your game library in both the desktop and Steam Deck versions of the app. When you do this, you're essentially just creating a shortcut to the game, so Steam can't update or support the game otherwise. Adding Non-Steam Games to Steam

1Open Steam. Adding a non-Steam game to Steam on your computer is convenient, but be aware that you won't be able to update the game through Steam or use that game to prove you own your Steam account.

2Click Games at the top of the window. Alternatively, you can click Add a Game in the bottom left corner of the window.Advertisement

3Click Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library… . If you clicked Add a Game in the corner of the window instead, you'll click a button that says Add a Non-Steam Game .

4Choose a game from the list. Discord will load a list of programs installed on your computer. If you see the game you want to add on this list, click the checkbox next to it.
- If you don't see the game you want to add, click Browse… in the bottom-left corner of the window, then navigate to where the game is saved. You'll need to navigate to the .exe file for the game, which is usually located in the game's installation folder. The exact location of this folder varies depending on the game, but it's usually in your Program Files or in My Documents > My Games .

Adding on the Steam Deck

1Put your Steam Deck into desktop mode. To do this, follow these steps:
- Press the Steam button on your device.
- Click the Power menu.
- Choose Switch to Desktop .

2Download the game to your Steam Deck. You can do this by transferring the game via an SD card, or you can download and install it from the internet.

3Open the Steam app in desktop mode. Make sure you don't switch back to gaming mode yet, as you need to stay in desktop mode to add your non-Steam game to Steam.

4Click Games at the top of Steam. Alternatively, you can click Add a Game in the bottom left corner of the window.

5Click Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library… . If you clicked Add a Game in the corner of the Steam window instead, you'll click a button that says Add a Non-Steam Game .
