Steps

  1. Go to https://myaccount.google.com/u/1/ . If prompted, sign in with your email and password.
    • On a mobile device, the "Security" option will be in the scrolling table of contents along the top of the screen.

    • If you already set a recovery email before, you'll see it listed there. You can still click the same box to change it.
  2. Fill out the password field and click Next .
    • If there's already a recovery email set, click the grey pencil to the right to change it.
  3. This email address should be one that you have easy access to. Then click Done .
    • If you need to change the address after you set it, you can click the grey pencil next to the email you entered to edit it.
