It’s under the “Incoming Calls” header. A list of ringtones on your phone will appear.

Scroll down and tap Add from phone . This opens the Sound Picker, which displays a list of audio tracks on your Galaxy.

Locate the new ringtone. You can tap one of the categories at the top of the screen (e.g. Tracks, Albums, Artists), or tap the magnifying glass to search.

Yes, you can. Open settings and scroll down until you see the 'sound' option. Tap it, and tap ringtones option. Finally, tap on the notifications option and select the desired notification sound you want when you receive a message.

Is there a way to set up different notification sounds to distinguish it from messages and phone calls and e-mails and other apps?

Yes there is. On a Samsung phone, open settings and tap on sounds and vibrations. Open Ringtone. You will be given the chance to select the ringtone for your calls and notifications.
