This wikiHow teaches you how to prevent anyone from going to Yahoo.com in any web browser on your computer, phone, or tablet. The most straightforward way to truly block the website is to do so by editing a special file on your computer called the "hosts" file. If you're blocking the site for a child, you can use the parental controls built in to your iPhone, iPad, Android, or Chromebook. If you just want to prevent yourself from viewing the site, consider using a browser plugin like BlckSite

Quick Guide: Blocking Yahoo.com

  2. Open "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" in Notepad.
  3. Allow the hosts file to be edited and open it.
  4. Add 127.0.0.1 to the first three open lines.
  5. Click Tab after each IP address.
